In March 2023, the recovery momentum of China's industrial economy further strengthened, and large and medium-sized industrial enterprises are expected to achieve effective improvement overall. The production and operation situation has been rapidly restored, the production and supply chains have remained relatively stable, and the capacity utilization rate has basically returned to the normal level before the epidemic. The China Industrial Composite Index (ICI) was 56.5%, up 2.9 percentage points month on month. From the perspective of sub indicators, the production status, benefit status, and expected development index in March were 60.0%, 55.1%, and 59.2%, respectively, with a month on month increase of 3.8, 6.1, and 1.0 percentage points. The operating environment index was 50.8%, a decrease of 0.9 percentage points month on month, slightly higher than the boom and bust line. The ICI manufacturing index was 56.8%, rebounding 2.4 percentage points month on month.
